Volunteers

The Barossa Vintage Festival 2011

The Barossa Vintage Festival would not happen without the tireless efforts of our volunteers. Volunteers take on many roles during the planning and staging of the Festival, from our governing committee, to event convenors, to parking marshals and Festival Parade participants.

More than 1,500 volunteers equivalent to 10% of the Barossa’s population are actively involved in the organisation of the Festival.

Residents of the Barossa are known for their willingness to get behind an idea and simply make it happen. There is no better example of this than through that of the Barossa Vintage Festival. Over a thousand volunteers commit their spare time planning and eventually staging the many individual events which make up the wonderful festivities. A festival of this magnitude would not survive without the enormous generosity and commitment of our volunteers.
