The Barossa Vintage Festival 2011

It’s hard to believe that the 2011 Barossa Vintage Festival is over!

The nine day celebration, blessed with beautiful autumnal weather attracted record crowds. With over 120 events staged during the celebrations, it is impossible to sum up the Festival in a brief paragraph!

I have been asked many times what my favourite event was, but I have no single favourite. The beauty of the Barossa Vintage Festival is that you can create your own customised experience. My personal highlights included ‘Jazz in the Cellar’ featuring the amazing vocal talents of Libby O’Donovan, sharing the ‘Vintage Festival Parade’ with my children, the elegance of the ‘Grand Vintage Festival Ball’, and sharing a glass (or two) of premium Barossa wine with family and friends on ‘Vintage Celebration Day’.

The Barossa Vintage Festival website will now go into a state of dormancy for a short period of time while we begin planning for the 2013 Festival to be held from Saturday 30 March to Sunday 7 April.

If you are eager to commence planning your visit to the 2013 Festival, the Program and photo gallery from the 2011 event will give you an idea of what to expect.

Barossa ‘Experiences’ Lottery

The Barossa ‘Experiences’ Lottery has been developed by the 2011 Barossa Vintage Festival committee to generate funds to stage the many free events included in the Festival calendar.

There are substantial cost associated with staging the many free and low cost events included in the Festival calendar.

Revenue generated from the lottery will enable us to improve these crucial events and ensure we honour our commitment to deliver quality activities and entertainment that are accessible to both visitors and locals. If you enjoyed your visit to the Barossa Vintage Festival, this is your opportunity to win a return visit!

1st Prize
One night accommodation at the luxurious Abbotsford Country House in a deluxe suite inc. full breakfast, a full day tour with Barossa Taste Sensations inc. lunch & a gourmet platter for two people, lunch for 6 people with Charlie Melton at Charles Melton Wines and 12 bottles of Barossa Vintage Festival SGS (Seriously Good Shiraz), valued at $1375.

2nd Prize

3rd Prize
